Miss California Updates!

Miss California Day Eight:

Tonight was the swim suit competition for me and my final preliminary night! This is such a fun portion because I get to be my spunky, goofy little self.

A major shout out too K-Town from Fresno during rehearsal!

Congratulations to Leah Cecil for winning preliminary evening gown, and Ruth Bram for winning preliminary talent! A very special congratulations to Grace Lee Grant on becoming Miss California's Outstanding Teen!

Miss California Day Seven:

Today I competed in talent but I was so excited I forgot to take a picture! I'll post an old one though so you can get a reminder for the awesome costume my mom picked out!

The preliminary winners for tonight were Miss Sonoma Jessica Greer for evening gown, and Crystal Lee for talent! Congrats girls I am so proud of you!

Just an extra little tid-bit, this kid is definitely Mr. California! He did a tap number today and STOLE THE SHOW! So adorable!

Miss California Day Six:

Today was the evening gown competition for me. I love my gown but to be honest it is my least favorite part of competition, I just don't feel like I get to show off my personality quite as much as the other parts of competition. This time was different though, I actually enjoyed myself which is a first for me in evening gown! I had such a blast and was so glad I got to share the moment with my princess Hannah Scully!

After the competition it was off to visitation which is always fun! It is a nice reminder each night of how much of a wonderful support system I really have!

Tony has been such a huge part of my development into the polished speaker I am today!
Freeman is so kind and me little drop of sunshine in the audience,  always helps me smile and shine!
Congratulations to Sara Choi on your preliminary talent award, and Caylynn Simonson for evening gown!

Miss California Day Five:

Today started with the amazing delta group t-shirt that Miss Fresno Morgan Edwards made, it's my favorite color and so cute!

After a dress rehearsal it was time for business and I had on stage question. I was asked what experience changed my life the most, and was so happy to get to do an MDA plug!

Evening gown preliminary winner was Miss Gavilan Hills, and talent was a tie between South Coast and Southern California Regional! Congrats girls! After the show we had visitation with friends and family. It was a wonderful day!

Miss California Day Four:

Today it finally began! I started off bright and early for interview, it was my most intense interview yet but I feel really good about it!

After that we loaded up the bus to go to the Fresno Rotary meeting which was incredible. We each were able to introduce ourselves and it was so fun getting to see all the girls in action. I was the first one in line and when I said that the only muscle it takes to make a difference is your heart I received the "aw" that I tend to get at that part hehe. Then it was time for the skits for the president stepping down, they did a roast and the skit was admitting some.....interesting members, into the club. Overall we had a blast!

After that it was off to a loooooooong rehearsal, but the show is going to look great tonight! I will be competing in On Stage Question.

Miss California Day Three:

My morning was pretty relaxed, with a little dance rehearsal mixed in. Then we were off to the Rotary Club of Fresno Miss California reception which was an absolute blast! There was great food, dancing, and Miss California 2010 gave a special performance. After that we rushed over to our first rehearsal on stage! My interview is tomorrow morning, I'm prepared and excited!

My amazing dance partner jumped right onto my lap for the picture!  He was such a ladies man!
With Miss California 2010!

Roomies!

With a couple of fabulous ladies!

Miss California Day Two:

Herron and I have settled into our room and are having such a fun time together! Today was spent getting to know the girls and grounding ourselves. We met the Fresno mayor today and exchanged gifts, she was so kind!
Sabrina and I in our patriotic mayor meeting clothes!

Then we had a really tasty lunch at Habit burger and guess what?! They support MDA too!
Yay MDA!

After all that fabulous-ness we got a little tlc time and then it was off to the Kiwanis dinner! It was such a blast and it was such a beautiful home!  There should be some awesome karaoke videos for me to post on here very soon! It was really funny for all of us to let our hair down ( so to speak) and just really enjoy each other!

My lovely roomie Herron and I getting ready for  dinner
Overall this week is shaping up to be one of the best of my life! I get to spend my days making friends, learning more about myself, and getting to be on stage! Thank you so much to ALL of the volunteers who make this happen every year with their blood sweat and tears!

Miss California Day One:
Arrival day! I'm going to try and keep these updates short and sweet but I wanted everyone to know I got here safe and sound. It is so fun being back with the girls! I've had the song "Reunited" stuck in my head the entire time! I'm having a lovely time with my roomie Miss Mendocino County Herron Spence! I'm going to attempt a video blog tomorrow for you guys, wish me luck!

And this was under packing!!!!! Thank you dad and Jake for handling all the heavy lifting!
